Are you passionate about engineering project management and capital investments? Join our Engineering team as an Engineering Capital Head. You’ll be responsible for leading end-to-end technical projects, managing the site CAPEX portfolio, and driving engineering excellence at the Querétaro manufacturing site. This role plays a critical part in ensuring project delivery, operational performance, sustainability, safety, and long-term capital strategy while partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
As an engineering leader, you will oversee project design, execution, capital planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards. This role is based in Querétaro, México, with regular presence required at the manufacturing site.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Capital Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end technical projects from scope definition and design through commissioning, validation, and successful start-up, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and timeline objectives are achieved.
- CAPEX Portfolio Management: Oversee the site capital investment portfolio, including planning, forecasting, governance, cost control, and annual capital planning activities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to ensure project alignment, execution excellence, and business impact.
- Engineering Excellence & Compliance: Apply corporate engineering methodologies while ensuring compliance with safety, food safety, environmental, financial, and internal control requirements.
- Continuous Improvement & Team Leadership: Lead contractors and project teams while driving innovation, productivity improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and knowledge transfer through training and lessons learned exercises.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Food, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience in engineering, capital projects, manufacturing, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines including process, packaging, electrical systems, construction, and capital project management principles.
- Proven experience managing CAPEX budgets, financial project controls, and phase-gate project execution methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, contractors, and complex technical projects across multiple stakeholders.
- Advanced English proficiency and strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- High resilience, agility, proactive leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset.
