Responsibilities

  • Define the architecture for our endpoint platform, Windows services, and the cloud systems that support them.
  • Design how automation and AI-powered actions operate on customer devices, including permissions, safeguards, rollback mechanisms, and auditability.
  • Establish architectural standards, engineering best practices, and guidelines for the use of AI-generated code in production systems.
  • Evaluate technical solutions, conduct proofs of concept, and recommend scalable, secure design approaches.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform engineering teams globally
  • Drive architectural decision-making and maintain clear documentation of designs, standards, and key decisions.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, cloud platforms, and AI tooling, and identify opportunities to improve our systems and practices.
  • Own the non-functional architecture of the platform, ensuring reliability, performance, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience building applications in C++ or .NET.
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Cassandra, or ScyllaDB.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, high-availability platforms, microservices, and containerized environments.
  • Experience designing systems that perform automated or AI-driven actions on managed endpoints, including security controls and auditing requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and a clear understanding of where AI-generated code is appropriate in production environments.
  • Experience building and operating solutions in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure automation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
