Senior SRE Engineer  (SRE) - Cloud Platform (AWS) & OpenShift/Kubernetes – 5 to 8 Yrs of experience – Noida Location

This team that ensures applications and infrastructure are reliable, available, scalable, and performant. SRE combines software engineering with operations to keep production systems running smoothly.

 

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, deploy, and maintain highly available applications on Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS platforms.
• Build and enhance observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Alert manager, and Splunk.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.
• Develop and support CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using Jenkins, Git, GitHub, and Argo CD.
• Manage container platform operations, upgrades, scalability, and platform reliability initiatives.
• Monitor and optimize messaging ecosystems including Kafka, Kafka Connect, NATS, and consumer performance metrics.
• Implement service mesh technologies such as Istio and OpenShift Service Mesh for secure traffic management.
• Lead incident response activities, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Strengthen cloud security through vulnerability management, RBAC implementation, secrets management, and compliance controls.
• Utilize AI-assisted operational analysis, anomaly detection, and alert correlation to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.

What you bring

• 5 to 8 years of Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Helm, and Kubernetes Operators.
• Strong experience building CI/CD and GitOps workflows using Jenkins, Git, GitHub, and Argo CD.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash scripting.
• Experience managing cloud-native workloads and services within AWS environments.

Strong knowledge of Kafka, Kafka Connect, NATS, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures.

• Hands-on experience with observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, Alert manager, and Splunk.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting distributed systems across clusters, networking, storage, applications, and deployment pipelines.
• Understanding of cloud security principles, container security, vulnerability management, RBAC, and secrets management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing and managing Istio or OpenShift Service Mesh in production environments.
• Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, anomaly detection techniques, and AI-assisted operational workflows.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud platforms with high availability requirements.
• AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, or related cloud and automation certifications.
• Understanding of SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability engineering best practices.
