The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Singtel IT network infrastructure supporting AI platforms across data centres, enterprise networks, and hybrid cloud environments. The primary objective is to deliver secure, reliable, high-throughput, and low-latency network connectivity for AI/ML workloads, including GPU/CPU clusters and Singtel Central AI Kitchen. This role ensures seamless integration with existing enterprise networks while aligning network architecture with business requirements, enterprise standards, and technology infrastructure objectives.

How You will Make An Impact:

• Design end-to-end network architecture for the AIDA GPU and CPU infrastructure, considering high throughput, low latency, scalability, resiliency and security.

• Produce integrated infrastructure solutions covering Network, Security, Compute and Storage dependencies in alignment with TI strategy.

• Develop detailed High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), network topology and connectivity diagrams.

• Setup & Implement infrastructure to support Singtel's AI platform/Central AI Kitchen including operating both compute and GPU/MaaS clusters.

• Define network connectivity required to integrate AIDA with the existing enterprise environment and enable users/applications to access AI use cases.

• Ensure designs are scalable and adaptable to evolving AI/ML workloads and business requirements.

• Lead the implementation and integration of the AIDA network environment with existing enterprise network infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot complex network and application connectivity issues across AIDA and enterprise infrastructure.

• Implement and leverage AI/ML-powered network management platforms, such as Mist AI, Cisco DNA Center/Catalyst Center, or appropriate custom ML solutions.

• Utilize automation for root-cause analysis, anomaly detection, predictive health monitoring and network optimization.

• Collaborate with Data Science, AI platform, Compute/Storage and DevOps teams to understand infrastructure requirements for AI/ML workloads.

• Optimize network architecture for high-throughput and low-latency AI/ML training and inference workloads.

• Implement appropriate network segmentation and Zero Trust principles for the AIDA environment.

• Work closely with Network Security and InfoSec teams to define firewall, access control and security requirements.

• Gather network and infrastructure requirements for AIDA and other related infrastructure deliverables.

• Work closely with the Infrastructure Project Team and SDM throughout project planning, design, implementation and handover.

• Provide technical advice to management, SDMs, architects, analysts, designers, developers and other IT teams on Network and Security infrastructure.

• Support change planning, implementation, testing, troubleshooting and post-implementation validation.

• Ensure proper knowledge transfer and handover to Network Operations teams.

• Keep proper documentations and communicate Enterprise Infrastructure strategies & standards

• Provide solutions in compliance and integration with enterprise architecture & Infosec policy for Infrastructure and Security systems by reviewing and advising on new and existing Information Technology projects

• Provide advice and guidance to management during planning phases to ensure that non-functional requirements are included in the overall specifications

• Provide advice and guidance to all areas of IT and Business Management, analysts, SDM, designers and developers on all aspects of Network & Security infrastructure

• Ensure the deliverables meet all related engineering, planning, and operational standards

• Ensure to identify potential network issues and risks, and to provide workable technical solutions to mitigate such risks

• Ensure to document network performance to take proactive and corrective action as needed

• Maintaining a knowledge base to ensure network intellectual property is retained

• Drive and complete Firewall Tech-refresh and Load Balancer Tech-refresh

• Extend support and take additional tasks staffs whenever they need it for smooth BAU operation

• Manage security vulnerability alerts. Ensure to meet Infosec SLA and service improvement.

• Support all project tech-fresh and migrations in Singtel

• Support all Cisco Network devices and Checkpoint & Fortinet Firewalls, F5 load balancers, DNS, SDN, IPAM, Wireless, Tacacs and VPN

• Design, configure, and manage enterprise-grade routing, switching, wireless, and data center networks (SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).

Skills for Success:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.

• Minimally 10 years’ experience in Managing IT Service Delivery Cisco Cert, Checkpoint Cert, Security Certification, F5 LB, FortiGate FW, Radware LB

• Strong technical competency with recognized professional certifications in either Network & Security or Systems domain

• Strong investigative, problem-solving skills - ability to identify problems and provide solutions in Router, Switches, Firewall, Load Balancer, VPN, Wireless, DNS, Tacacs & IPAM.

• Strong hands-on experience in enterprise/data-centre network architecture, design and implementation.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN/VXLAN, routing, switching, network segmentation and high-availability design.

• Experience designing networks for GPU/CPU, AI/ML, high-performance computing or high-throughput environments is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of firewalls, network security, Zero Trust and enterprise security architecture.

• Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform and Git.

• Understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

• Experience with AI-driven network management/assurance platforms such as Cisco Catalyst Center/DNA Center, Mist AI or equivalent.

• Experience in managing and mentoring cross functional and technical competency teams.

• Experience in project handling
