The Role
We're looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to lead our API and Developer Platform initiatives. This is a critical role that sits at the intersection of our engineering teams and external developers, ensuring our platform is both powerful and a joy to use. You'll be responsible for shaping the technical strategy that makes our APIs and developer tools accessible, reliable, and loved by those who use them.
Key Responsibilities
- Developer Experience (DevEx): Create and optimize development workflows that are seamless, efficient, and enjoyable for both internal engineers and external developers
- API Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute on a compelling vision for our API products that addresses developer needs while advancing business goals
- Data Platform Excellence: Architect and evolve our data solutions to be AI/ML-ready, ensuring data is discoverable, accessible, and actionable across the organization
- Product Security: Collaborate with security teams to implement robust frameworks and proactive security practices that protect our products and customer data
- Cross-functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, design, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality solutions
- Technical Documentation: Oversee the creation of clear, comprehensive documentation that helps developers succeed with our platform
Requirements
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in technical roles
- Background as a senior backend engineer or similar technical role, with hands-on experience building and consuming APIs
- Deep understanding of API design principles, standards (REST, GraphQL, GRPC, RAG), and developer-facing products
- Experience with infrastructure as code and modern development workflows
- Strong technical intuition and ability to make well-informed product decisions
- Excellent communication skills with fluent English proficiency (written and spoken)
- Track record of shipping successful technical products and measuring their impact
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity and rapid changes
Nice to Have
- Experience with document processing or content management systems
- Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their application in data platforms
- Open source contribution experience
- Previous startup experience
- Past PM experience
