About The Role
We are hiring for a Business Analyst as a permanent full-time position based in St Leonards. Enjoy flexibility through a hybrid working arrangement.
Ramsay Health Care has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the Procurement team.
Reporting to the General Manager Commercial Performance, this role will play a critical part in identifying, analysing, and delivering initiatives that improve procurement performance and create measurable value across the organisation.
The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capability with commercial acumen, partnering with stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Corporate Functions to uncover opportunities, solve complex business problems, and support strategic decision-making.
While embedded within Procurement, the role extends beyond traditional procurement analytics. You will work across business processes, systems, data, and transformation initiatives to improve performance, deliver efficiencies, and support Ramsay's broader organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business challenges, identify opportunities, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve performance and outcomes.
- Support the delivery of business improvement, procurement, and commercial initiatives.
- Analyse spend, supplier performance, contract compliance, pricing trends, and category performance to drive value and informed decision-making.
- Assist with sourcing activities, tender evaluations, market analysis, business case development, and savings tracking.
- Monitor supplier and contract performance against agreed KPIs and measure benefit realisation outcomes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using Power BI and other analytical tools.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and prepare reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting, analytics, and performance measurement frameworks.
- Build effective relationships across Procurement, Finance, Operations, Technology, and Corporate Services to support business objectives.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, change management, and the successful delivery of key initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Strategy Analyst, Management Consultant, Procurement Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capability.
- Proven ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable business insights.
- Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and documenting business processes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and constructively challenge stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience using Power BI or similar visualisation tools.
- Experience within procurement, supply chain, commercial, finance, or operational performance environments.
- Experience working on transformation, performance improvement, or strategic projects.
- Knowledge of SAP, SQL, or other data management and analytical platforms.
- Healthcare industry experience.
- Project management experience.
