Job Description
We are seeking an FP&A Manager to join our Finance team as a dedicated business partner to our global Product & Engineering organization.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role for an experienced FP&A professional who enjoys working closely with business leaders, understanding what drives their organization, and turning financial data into insights that support better decisions.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, FP&A, you'll partner with Product and Engineering leaders on planning, forecasting, investment decisions, and performance management. You'll help leaders understand the financial impact of their decisions, challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and bring a thoughtful financial perspective to how we allocate resources.
You don't need to be a Product & Engineering finance expert on day one. We're looking for someone with strong FP&A fundamentals, excellent business-partnering instincts, and the curiosity to learn the operational and technical drivers behind our Product & Engineering organization.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted FP&A business partner to Product & Engineering leaders, helping them understand financial performance and make informed business decisions.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for your areas of the Product & Engineering organization, connecting headcount, investments, and other operational drivers to our financial plan.
- Build financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate investments, resource allocation decisions, and other business opportunities.
- Analyze financial and operational performance, identify key trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate your findings into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with leaders on headcount and expense planning, helping teams understand tradeoffs and make thoughtful investment decisions.
- Develop reporting and dashboards that provide clear visibility into budgets, forecasts, and key business drivers.
- Partner with Accounting during the monthly close process to ensure accurate results and provide meaningful variance analysis.
- Develop a deeper understanding of Product & Engineering cost drivers, including cloud infrastructure and other technical investments, and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Create clear financial narratives and presentations that make complex information easy for Finance and business leaders to understand.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate FP&A processes, reporting, and workflows so the team can spend more time on analysis and business partnership.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or a related role
- Strong experience as a finance business partner, with the ability to build relationships with business leaders, understand their priorities, and provide financial insights that support better decision-making
- Solid FP&A fundamentals, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through complex data, identify what matters, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills and experience building financial and operational models
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and bring a thoughtful financial point of view to business discussions
- A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
