Full description

CTG is seeking a Business Analyst to support strategic planning, competitive intelligence, business development, and innovation initiatives. This role will conduct research and data analysis, identify business opportunities, evaluate market and competitive trends, and develop actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with advanced analytics and process automation skills and can independently manage both ongoing analysis and project-based assignments.

Type: Contract Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Remote Pay Rate: $30.00 - $40.00/hour Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm, 16-24 hours per week Education: Bachelor's Degree

Requirements

  • Conduct competitive intelligence, market research, and business analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze large datasets and identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and risks.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and actionable recommendations for business leaders.
  • Use Python, R, SQL, and/or Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and improve efficiency using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, or custom scripts.
  • Apply statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and scenario analysis when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with business, operations, engineering, technology, and innovation teams.
  • Support market opportunity assessments and competitive analysis.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with business analysis, data analytics, business intelligence, or competitive intelligence.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
  • Understanding of process automation and workflow improvement.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
