Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure & Low Voltage Deployments

San Diego, CA (Onsite)We're seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale infrastructure deployment projects across commercial, education, and public sector environments. This role is ideal for someone who understands the complete project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning and site surveys through installation, commissioning, and final client handoff.This is not a traditional software project management role. We're looking for a leader with hands-on knowledge of physical technology infrastructure deployments who can effectively coordinate engineering teams, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously from planning through closeout
  • Lead pre-construction activities including site surveys, scope validation, budgeting, and project planning
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, field operations, and subcontractors throughout project execution
  • Oversee deployments involving:• Structured cabling
  • Fiber infrastructure
  • Network equipment installations
  • Wireless infrastructure
  • CCTV and low-voltage systems
  • Track schedules, budgets, labor forecasts, and project profitability
  • Manage change orders, project documentation, and client communications
  • Ensure quality standards, safety requirements, and project deliverables are met
  • Conduct progress meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders
  • Drive projects through final testing, turnover, and closeout

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of project management experience within infrastructure, telecommunications, low-voltage, or technology deployment environments
  • Experience managing projects through the entire lifecycle, from initial planning through final handoff
  • Strong understanding of:• Structured cabling systems
  • Fiber optic infrastructure
  • Network deployments
  • Wireless technologies
  • Low-voltage construction practices
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial management skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve field challenges related to pathways, conduit, backbone infrastructure, equipment installations, and deployment logistics

Preferred Qualifications

  • RCDD certification
  • BICSI certifications (Installer, Technician, or related)
  • PMP certification
  • Experience supporting education, municipal, healthcare, or public sector projects
  • Background in electrical, telecommunications, or technology infrastructure contracting

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $140000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Our partnership with this Client goes back 2 decades. Over the last 3 years, we have built on this foundation and earned exclusive business for all of their technology positions. We have great relationships with the owners as well as with all of executive leadership at this organization. We are positioned very well, can provide timely feedback, and high odds of a successful interview.

Our Client is an IT Managed Services Provider that brings 35 years of industry experience to the table. They design, build, and maintain best-of-breed systems, including networks, security, data center, wireless, cloud, audiovisual, and managed solutions. They leverage technology to improve business outcomes. Their main customers in the Greater Los Angeles and San Diego areas include many local area hospitals, military bases, ports, and various schools. Many of their upcoming projects will revolve around the 2028 Olympics. They are preparing SoCal to be a fully digital and connected City.
