POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Payroll Systems Analyst to play a critical role in the implementation, configuration, and rollout of our new Logile Workforce Management (WFM) and execution suite. This role serves as the bridge between payroll operations, IT, and store operations. You will ensure that time and attendance data, labor models, scheduling rules, and pay policies are accurately mapped from Logile to our core payroll system, minimizing compliance risks and ensuring flawless execution from day one.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • A Logile Implementation Support: Collaborate with the implementation vendor, IT, and HRIS to map legacy payroll rules, shift differentials, overtime policies, and time-tracking configurations into the Logile system.
  • Data Validation & Parallel Testing: Conduct rigorous end-to-end data audits, system integration testing (SIT), and parallel payroll runs to ensure time clock data matches exact gross pay calculations.
  • System Configuration & Maintenance: Configure complex pay rules, holiday schedules, paid time off (PTO) accruals, and localized labor law compliance rules within the Logile environment.
  • Interface & Integration Management: Assist in designing and troubleshooting data interfaces (APIs/flat files) flowing between Logile, core HRIS systems, and downstream payroll processing engines.
  • Change Management & Support: Draft standard operating procedures (SOPs), create user training materials for store management, and serve as the tier-2 hypercare support anchor during the post-go-live stabilization period.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience supporting payroll, workforce management (WFM), HRIS, or related systems required.
  • Experience participating in or leading WFM, timekeeping, or payroll system implementations strongly preferred.

Technical & System Expertise

  • Workforce Management (WFM) Experience: Direct, hands-on experience implementing or heavily administering Logile or a direct tier-1 competitor (e.g., UKG/Kronos, Ceridian Dayforce, Blue Yonder).
  • Payroll Processing Knowledge: Deep comprehension of gross-to-net payroll processing pipelines, tax regulations, and payroll compliance.
  • Advanced Data Diagnostics: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Power Query, Pivot Tables) or SQL to audit and reconcile massive volumes of employee time records.

Core Compliance & Operational Skills

  • Complex Pay Rule Mapping: Proven ability to translate intricate union contracts, shift differentials, and multi-state compliance laws (FLSA, state-specific overtime) into software system logic.

Soft Skills & Change Management

  • Hypercare Resiliency: Ability to handle high-pressure timelines and resolve critical, time-sensitive system errors during a software rollout.
  • Cross-Functional Translation: Able to translate complex technical jargon from software engineers into clear instructions for store managers or payroll clerks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation.
  • Previous experience specifically in a grocery or large-scale retail environment (Logile's core footprint).
  • Experience with ERP payroll systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP, or Oracle) alongside WFM tools.
