Deployment Support Engineer I, APAC OTS - Deployment

Build the IT infrastructure that powers millions of deliveries. As a Deployment Support Engineer, you'll work hands-on at Amazon's fulfilment and logistics sites — racking switches, commissioning workstations, validating cabling, and handing over completed systems to local teams.

Key job responsibilities -Deliver IT infrastructure for site launches, retrofits, and lifecycle upgrades at assigned locations. 現場でのITインフラデリバリー（立ち上げ・改修・ライフサイクルUG。

-Install, configure, commission, and validate network equipment, workstations, and OT on-site. ネットワーク機器・ワークステーション・OTの設置・設定・検証を現地実施。

-Manage vendor/contractor work quality, schedule adherence, and safety compliance during deployments. ベンダー・コントラクターの品質・スケジュール・安全管理。

-Coordinate with Operations, Construction, Facilities, and partner IT teams on delivery timelines. オペレーション・建設・ファシリティ・ITチームとスケジュール連携。

-Troubleshoot straightforward IT problems without SOPs; identify root causes and escalate when needed. SOPなしでIT問題をトラブルシュート、根本原因特定・必要時エスカレーション。

-Own deployment documentation: progress reports, as-builts, and lessons learned. デプロイドキュメント（進捗・完成図書・レッスンラーンド）管理。

Write and coordinate Change Management activities; author SOPs and knowledge base articles. 変更管理の実施・調整、SOP・ナレッジベース記事の作成。

-Support hiring efforts and train junior peers on deployment procedures. 採用活動支援と後輩へのデプロイ手順トレーニング。

A day in the life A typical day on-site: installing network switches, commissioning workstations, and coordinating with vendors on cabling quality. Mornings start with site walks alongside Construction and Operations. Afternoons involve documenting progress, updating trackers, and resolving technical issues as they arise. On office days, you plan upcoming deployments, write SOPs, and attend project standups with your regional team remotely. Stakeholders: Operations, Construction, Facilities, Field IT. Customers: site teams needing working IT on launch day.

About the team The OTS Deployment team delivers IT infrastructure for Amazon's fulfilment network — site launches, lifecycle upgrades, and retrofits. We partner with construction, facilities, and field IT at the intersection of technology and operations. Some days are on-site; others in-office planning with regional peers.

Basic Qualifications: - 1+ years of Windows Server technologies: AD, DFS, Print Services, SCCM experience - 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment experience - 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation experience - 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience - 2+ years of networking (such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP) experience - 2+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience - 2+ years of supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment experience - Bachelor's degree - Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N3+)

Preferred Qualifications: - 2+ years of computer networking experience - Experience working with and managing third party vendors, or experience in similar environments - Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
