Torch Technologies is seeking a Mission Data Engineer to join a team to assist the 337th Electronic Warfare Squadron (337 EWS), 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 337th EWS and related squadrons develop and test electronic warfare (EW) mission data (MD) for our foreign partners to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat.  This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will conduct appropriate EW research, MD development and MD testing. The successful candidate will support EW system programming/reprogramming, work with EW system engineers to coordinate programming/reprogramming requirements, prepare validation and verification test plans, and organize and participate in MD configuration control boards. The successful candidate will assist with the collection, recording, and post-test analysis of data generated during MD testing. The successful candidate may be required to travel, both domestic and international, so possessing a US passport or having an ability to obtain one is required.

Required Qualifications: 

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Hiring at multiple levels.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an applicable discipline.
  • Level 1: Bachelor's Degree in an applicable discipline.
  • Level 2: Bachelor's or Master's Degree and up to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Level 3: Bachelor's or Master's Degree and 3 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Level 4: Master's Degree and over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Additional experience may be substituted for education with customer approval.
  • Ability to Obtain and Maintain an Active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Previous experience in RF integration RF integration, EM spectrum management, antenna design, and digital signal processing.
  • Also desired (but not required) is knowledge of EW weapons systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering.
