Full description

The role focuses on financial modelling, investment and credit analysis, business strategy,

evaluation of investment and commercial opportunities, donor-funded initiatives, tender

assessments, and preparation of Investment Committee and Management presentations.

The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Managing Director and relevant business

functions to evaluate opportunities, assess financial viability and risks, develop financial

models, and translate complex financial information into clear insights and

recommendations for decision-making.

Key Accountabilities

1. Develop and maintain financial models for business planning, investment analysis,

forecasting, valuation, and strategic decision-making.

2. Conduct financial and commercial analysis of investment opportunities, projects,

business proposals, and potential transactions.

3. Perform detailed financial statement, cash flow, ratio, and credit analysis to assess

financial health, performance, risks, and viability.

4. Evaluate investment opportunities and prepare analysis covering returns, risks,

assumptions, sensitivities, funding requirements, and potential outcomes.

5. Develop and prepare high-quality Investment Committee (IC) decks, investment

papers, business cases, and Management presentations.

Requirements

Experience & Education

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration,

Investment Management, or a related field.

2. Minimum 5 - 7 years' relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance,

credit analysis, financial advisory, investment analysis, development finance, or a

closely related field.

3. Prior experience in an Investment Banking environment or Credit Analysis

Department of a commercial/investment bank is strongly preferred.

4. Proven experience in financial modelling, investment analysis, valuation,

business strategy, and preparation of investment/Management presentations.

5. Demonstrated experience preparing Investment Committee decks, investment

papers, business cases, transaction memoranda, or similar decision-support

materials.

6. Experience assessing tenders, proposals, budgets, or financial submissions for

donor agencies, development partners, foundations, NGOs, or institutional

clients is strongly preferred.

7. Experience working on donor-funded projects, foundation/donor programmes,

development finance, or similar assignments is an added advantage.

8. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with demonstrated ability

to build financial models and produce high-quality analytical presentations.
