Full description
Want to help scale Amazon’s global fulfillment workforce, supporting them with efficient, engaging, and empowering user experiences while keeping them safe and happy? Join the Amazon Fulfillment Technologies Experience Design team (AFT-XD). We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher who is passionate about the intersection of the physical and virtual worlds, reaching beyond what is shown on a screen to include the physical environment, building layout, equipment, work processes – anything and everything that impacts how work inside our fulfillment centers gets done.
Key job responsibilities The ideal candidate is a strategic research leader who operates as an independent voice, partnering equally with Product, Design, and Engineering to ground decisions in operational reality. You proactively identify white space, frame high-ambiguity problems where getting the direction right is critical, and translate insights into actionable direction that shapes product and design decisions. As the research lead within AFT-XD, you'll own and run evaluative mechanisms that serve the whole organization, build repeatable research infrastructure (repositories, frameworks, synthesis tools) that compounds over time, and mentor researchers, designers, and team members in methodologies and best practices. You'll drive multi-study research programs addressing interconnected questions across Amazon's global fulfillment network, operating across associate and operator personas. You will continuously evaluate and adopt methods and tools that improve research rigor, speed, and scale. Your role includes distilling complex, multi-study data into insight narratives that drive measurable action, influencing across multiple L8 organizations, and enabling force multiplication by creating mechanisms and playbooks that other teams can leverage without researcher involvement.
A day in the life Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children.
