🔍 About the Role
As Manager Electrical Engineering, you will lead the electrical engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle, from Free for Sales to End of Life. You will be responsible for safeguarding the technical integrity, standardization, and future readiness of electrical solutions across the poultry value chain.
This role combines people leadership, technical expertise, stakeholder management, and strategic workforce planning. You will work closely with Product Management, Project Management, Software Engineering, New Product Development, Service, and Sales teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions that support our customers worldwide.
🧠 What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10-15 Electrical Engineers.
- Drive the successful delivery of electrical engineering activities within sustainment projects.
- Ensure technical quality, consistency, and integrity of all electrical engineering deliverables.
- Define team priorities, manage workload planning, and allocate resources effectively.
- Develop team capabilities through recruitment, coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Create and execute strategic workforce plans that support business growth and future capabilities.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and ways of working.
- Own and maintain the electrical architecture across the Poultry portfolio, driving standardization, modularization, and reuse.
- Support the implementation of enterprise-wide engineering and product data management initiatives.
- Safeguard compliance with applicable machine safety, electrical safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering to ensure seamless integration of controls, industrial connectivity, machine safety, and cybersecurity-related hardware requirements.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and translate opportunities into future product and engineering strategies.
- Partner with senior leadership to define and execute long-term technology roadmaps.
🛠️ What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in a complex technical environment.
- Strong expertise in electrical engineering, industrial automation, machine safety, and electrical system architecture.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and balancing technical, operational, and business priorities.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A hands-on, proactive mindset with a strong focus on results and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- The ability to inspire teams and drive collaboration across disciplines and global locations.
- Experience working within a sustainment, product lifecycle, or engineering organization.
🌟 Nice to Have
- Experience within the food processing, food manufacturing, or poultry industry.
- Knowledge of EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or other electrical CAD systems.
- Experience with agile ways of working and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Background in standardization, lifecycle management, and obsolescence management of electrical solutions.
- Familiarity with industrial machine control systems and machine safety regulations.
- Experience supporting the implementation of Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
