We currently have an opportunity for a Financial Analyst - Operations at our Corporate Headquarters in Lake Forest, IL supporting the Tableware Division.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst – Operations, you will play a key role in driving financial accuracy, transparency, and insight across product costing, manufacturing cost, inventory management, and project tracking. You will collaborate closely with teams in Operations, R&D, and FP&A to ensure costs are accurately captured in the financial ledgers. You will also be accountable to identify the financial impact and clearly communicate the month end results. This role is also integral to testing and data cleansing as we convert the R&D site into RCP integrated systems.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze P&L and balance sheet activities as well as production controls and KPI’s.
  • Prepare and interpret account reconciliations.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis

Financial Close & Controls

  • Support month-end and year-end close activities related to project related work.
  • Maintain robust data integrity, process controls, and documentation for all P&L and inventory processes

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, FP&A, and IT to understand key components on systems integration.

Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement reporting, analysis, and workflow automation improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • 0-2 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably supporting manufacturing operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Strong understanding of:

  • Accounting: Ability to interpret balance sheet and P&L statements, account reconciliations, bank statements
  • Project Management: Experience in tracking project cost and variance analysis

Working knowledge of:

  • Inventory accounting and manufacturing close processes
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency, including complex formulas and pivot tables
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements by:
  • Streamlining financial and operational reporting
  • Enhancing inventory accuracy and close efficiency
  • Automating manual tasks and reinforcing internal controls
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite, or similar), with a strong preference for SAP-based environments
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
