Full description

Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, you will perform analysis and reporting for an assigned financial area. You will support financial research projects and analyze business operations while applying your knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, journal entries, financial reporting, and monthly accounting schedules.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Support internal and external financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in period-end close activities and complete assigned tasks accurately and on schedule.
  • Identify, investigate, and help resolve unusual financial items and accounting issues.
  • Create monthly accounting schedules that support balance sheet account reconciliations and financial audits.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciliation items promptly.
  • Perform general accounting activities in the Systems, Applications, and Products general ledger, including preparing and uploading journal entries and using the Comprehensive Accounting Excellence tool.
  • Distribute routine financial accounting reports and create ad hoc reports.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead special projects involving general accounting, mergers and acquisitions, policy updates, new processes, partner requests, and system conversions.
  • Provide guidance and communicate effectively with remote team members supporting a third-party outsourcing relationship.
  • Communicate relevant financial information to internal and external customers.
  • Exercise sound judgment when analyzing financial, operational, and transactional information to identify and help resolve issues.
  • Evaluate processes, procedures, and the control environment, and recommend improvements.
  • Document processes, including desk procedures.
  • Alert management to situations that may materially affect the company’s overall financial condition.
  • Perform accounting tasks for assigned areas, which may include inventory, transportation, or payroll.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Three or more years of professional experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a related area.
  • Experience researching and reconciling multiple accounts.
  • Experience with Systems, Applications, and Products and database systems.
  • Collaborative communication skills for working with internal customers, external customers, and remote team members.
  • Sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation 

Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
