Position Summary

We are looking for someone who wants to join a fast-paced growing company, is comfortable with change, and has the flexibility to change priorities at a moment's notice. Under the direction of our client's PMO, this important PM role will support executive sponsors, business owners, and product managers in the delivery of products, solutions, and services that will help achieve their key organizational goals and objectives.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. This role manages resources, schedules, financials, and adherence to phase-gate quality and SDLC control guidelines throughout the full software development life cycle, including management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful project delivery. The role also contributes to process improvement initiatives that relate to improving project delivery.

This is a remote/work-from-home position reporting to the PMO Director.

What You Will Do

  • Lead project delivery across one or more business units, including detailed planning, scheduling, resource management, and financial tracking.
  • Partner with department leads and subject matter experts to identify change impacts and lead operational readiness efforts to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new services, systems, processes, or products.
  • Partner with Technical leads, Engineering, IT, and Operations teams to ensure a comprehensive, integrated project schedule and to improve system performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives spanning one or multiple lines of business, driving alignment with business and technology roadmaps across infrastructure, applications, and internal systems.
  • Participate in establishing methodology, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature project delivery capabilities for the organization.
  • Provide status reporting on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across multiple levels of leadership and the team.
  • Manage initiatives related to telecommunications platforms, including voice, messaging, and carrier integrations.
  • Oversee system upgrades, migrations, and technical debt reduction efforts across the technology stack.
  • Coordinate incident-driven and operational improvement projects, ensuring root cause resolution and long-term fixes.
  • Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and data governance standards across all IT initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management and/or delivery roles, with an emphasis on technology, application development, and product delivery.
  • PMI Certification.
  • Agile training/certification.
  • Telecommunications industry and compliance experience, including working knowledge of telecommunications technologies (e.g., VoIP, SIP, carrier integrations, messaging platforms).
  • Experience working with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience leading ERP, CRM, and HRIS projects.
  • Experience leading mobile application development projects.
  • Experience leading IT and platform-focused projects (infrastructure, enterprise systems, or backend services).
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst, including requirements elicitation and analysis, enterprise analysis, solution assessment, and user acceptance testing.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 5%), including some overnight travel.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and modern architectures (e.g., AWS/Azure, APIs, microservices).
  • Experience in telecom or communications platforms (contact centers, captioning, voice services, etc.).
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
  • Experience with cost optimization and vendor management in IT/telecom environments.
