JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Financial Analyst will develop an understanding of all aspects of the Chassis Business and play an integral role in the FP&A daily, weekly, and monthly reporting processes. The analyst will need to apply strong analytical and interpersonal skills to provide insight and analysis on business trends to the various departments FP&A supports within TRAC. The analyst will also need strong technical abilities to assist with the monthly close process.

Daily and Weekly Reporting and Analysis

  • Responsible for the maintenance of financial models and calculations used to prepare the income statement and other financial reports
  • Prepares and distributes variance analysis reporting between current week results vs. prior period and Budget/Forecast
  • Develops relationships with various teams within TRAC to gather information used to calculate revenue and expense assumptions
  • Prepare, validate, and distribute a weekly key metrics dashboard to leadership
  • Manage and coordinate reporting process for all daily, weekly, and monthly chassis usage activity
  • Proactively monitors, analyzes, and identifies discrepancies related to chassis usage, revenue, and expense items

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities and/or duties required. Other duties may be assigned.

Monthly Reporting and Analysis

  • Lead process to produce and distribute a full current month income statement to Leadership prior to the monthly accounting close
  • Process involves working with FP&A and other teams to gather, reconcile and consolidate data to calculate a total company net income/adjusted EBITDA
  • Final net income/adjusted EBITDA is presented in detail with an analysis completed for each assumption
  • Once accounting close is complete, prepare and distribute business segment and customer profitability and key metric reporting
  • Perform research and analysis on ad-hoc requests as required

Assist in the Monthly Close Data Load process into OneStream (Corporate Performance Management Software)

  • Prepare and load various revenue, expense, and key metrics into OneStream
  • Validate data after finishing OneStream load process
  • Resolve and troubleshoot any issues during close/OneStream load process

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Business, Finance, or Accounting. An MBA or other financial certification is preferred
  • A minimum of three years analytical or related business experience required
  • Proficiency in OneStream or other corporate performance management systems
  • Must have proven competence in data mining, analysis, and modeling capabilities, expertise in Excel (including Pivot tables and V-lookups)
  • Working knowledge of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow required
  • Strong Excel modeling skills
  • Must possess excellent analytical, conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to the ability to think creatively
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented, accurate, and inquisitive
  • Must work well in a collaborative, dynamic and matrix environment
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented work environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads.

TRAC's corporate headquarters is located in Princeton, New Jersey. We expect the chosen candidate to work a "hybrid" schedule with a minimum of three days per week at our office headquarters and two days working remotely from home.

Salary range: $75,000-$95,000 annually plus discretionary 15% performance bonus
