Eaton’s Energy Solutions & Services team is seeking a Program Manager – Product Development to support the rapid growth of our Data Center Power Distribution (DCPD) business.

This position will be based in our Richmond, VA facility. The role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Relocation assistance is available to Richmond. Minimal travel is expected (~10%).

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Data Center Power Distribution (DCPD) business powers cloud and AI infrastructure through innovative, industry-leading power solutions. With a rapidly growing market, DCPD is investing in new products, technology, and expanded manufacturing capacity to drive the next generation of data centers. To support this growth, we're adding a Program Manager to our team.

In this role, you'll lead complex new product development programs, collaborate across functions, and help bring innovative power solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully execute and manage large product development projects across multiple offices and time zones.
  • Create comprehensive business plans for product development projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean culture to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with functional organizations to develop and track project schedules, budgets, and resource plans necessary for project completion.
  • Work with functional teams, program managers, and the executive team to enhance the maturity of program management processes, tools and systems, optimizing productivity to drive growth.
  • Address ambiguous challenges by applying expertise in project management, change management, and communications.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in new Product Development Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Program Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Engineering strongly preferred
  • Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent)
  • Product engineering or product design/development
  • MBA or master’s degree
  • Experienced in electrical industry
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to electrical and mechanical engineering

Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects
  • Experience with project scheduling and resource planning
  • Experience completing financial analysis
  • Knowledge of product development process
  • Excellent verbal/ written communications skills
  • Experience leading and collaborating across an organization to achieve goal
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills to make data driven business decisions
  • Position requires an individual who is self-motivated, self-managed, team-oriented, proactive, attentive to detail, task oriented, and able to overcome obstacles to meet schedule requirements
