We are looking for you as Cyber Security Engineer (Vulnerability Management) to join our international Team and have a key technical role within the Vulnerability Management Platform. The role is responsible for operating and continuously advancing the enterprise vulnerability management capabilities, with a strong focus on offensive security techniques, automation and AI-driven approaches to vulnerability detection and assessment.
The position combines hands-on penetration testing and offensive security skills with platform engineering capabilities to build, automate and improve security workflows across the KION Group's global IT, cloud and application environments. By leveraging modern automation frameworks and AI-supported tooling, the role contributes to a faster, more scalable and more effective vulnerability management lifecycle.

Tasks and Qualifications:
- Plan and execute internal penetration testing engagements across infrastructure, web applications, APIs and cloud environments, providing actionable findings and remediation guidance to relevant teams.
- Take the lead on enterprise vulnerability assessments ensuring broad and continuous coverage across systems, applications and cloud environments, identifying and analyzing security vulnerabilities with clear risk context to support remediation prioritization.
- Architect, operate and continuously enhance the enterprise vulnerability management platform and scanning infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance and seamless integration with other security tools and workflows.
- Design and implement automation strategies to optimize vulnerability detection, assessment and remediation workflows, reducing manual effort and improving the overall security posture of the KION Group.
- Develop and maintain security tooling, scripts and platform integrations using modern programming languages and frameworks to support and extend vulnerability management capabilities.
- Evaluate, integrate and operationalize AI-driven approaches and tools to improve vulnerability detection, risk prioritization and security assessment workflows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with application development, DevOps and infrastructure teams to advise on secure design patterns and drive remediation through automation and process improvement.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes, policies and standards, acting as a technical subject matter expert within the team.
- Deliver technical and management-level reporting and metrics providing visibility into vulnerability trends, risk exposure and remediation progress for relevant stakeholders.
Your Skills and Expertise:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT Security, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing and security automation.
- Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and application security principles
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools
- Understanding of enterprise IT and cloud technologies
- Scripting or automation experience (e.g. Python)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-driven and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Team-oriented with a collaborative working approach
- Adaptable and curious mindset with a strong interest in emerging security technologies and AI
- Strong passion for cybersecurity combined with a high level of personal drive, ownership and commitment to achieving results
- English fluent (written and spoken)
- Willingness to participate in the Cyber Security on-call schedule
