Job Description: Java Backend Developer

Job Title: Java Backend Developer Location: Mumbai Work Model: Hybrid (Onsite) Experience: 5 to 8 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, REST APIs, databases, cloud platforms, design patterns, and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build scalable and secure Microservices-based applications.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external systems.
  • Implement best coding practices, design patterns, and clean architecture principles.
  • Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases for efficient data management.
  • Develop cloud-native applications and support deployments on cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps engineers.
  • Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools.
  • Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and high performance.

Required Skills

  • 5-8 years of experience in backend application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17 and Core Java concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
  • Strong experience in Microservices Architecture.
  • Expertise in designing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Good understanding of Design Patterns and Object-Oriented Design Principles.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and version control practices.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging tools.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
