Summary/Overview:

Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join its Project Finance & Infrastructure Ratings team. This dynamic and high-energy professional will support all aspects of the credit ratings process, including new rating assignments and ongoing surveillance across a range of project finance and infrastructure sectors. The analyst will have direct involvement in high profile and challenging work with exposure to senior staff and external market participants. This position will be based out of KBRA’s New York City office.

About the Job:

  • Support new rating assignments and ongoing surveillance across project finance and infrastructure sectors, including energy and power, transportation, digital infrastructure, and social infrastructure. Analyze project cash flows, financial statements, debt and financing structures, and key contractual arrangements.
  • Review project finance models and perform base case, sensitivity, and downside stress analyses to evaluate debt service capacity and credit risks.
  • Support quantitative and qualitative analysis for credit memos and publications.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, analytical tools, spreadsheets, and other data used in the ratings and surveillance process. Assist in research for internal and external publications.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, update key credit factors, and identify emerging risks and trends across rated project finance and infrastructure transactions.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or another field requiring strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Approximately 0–3 years of relevant experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, credit analysis, banking, investing, or a related field. Relevant project finance experience is a plus. Strong understanding of, or demonstrated interest in, infrastructure and project finance credit analysis.
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a highly collaborative team and across disciplines in a challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage time and resources and multiple analytical assignments in a fast-growing company.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, including the ability to review, construct, and modify project finance cash flow models.
  • Extremely high attention to detail.
  • Progress toward the CFA designation or other relevant professional qualifications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus.

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 to $110,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
