Lead AI Business Analyst

Position Summary

This position serves as a strategic role in Global Programs & Operations leadership, driving business transformation through AI, automation, analytics and process innovation. This role identifies, evaluates and implements AI-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, program effectiveness, productivity, decision-making and stakeholder experience. AI expertise is a core requirement for this role.

The Opportunity

You will translate business intent into system-level precision: domain models, state machines, integration contracts, and executable policy rules that AI agents and engineering teams can act on without interpretation gaps. You will own the full specification lifecycle — from stakeholder discovery through system design validation to behavioural sign-off — and you will set the standard others follow.

This is a role for someone who has experience in  both the insurance business and technical dimensions of requirements in complex environments, and who is ready to apply that dual expertise at the frontier of AI-augmented enterprise delivery.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead AI proof-of-concepts, pilots and adoption initiatives.

·       Take a leading role and motivate and mentor a multi-skilled team in aspects of business analysis and AI.

·       Identify, prioritise and develop AI use cases that improve business performance and operational efficiency.

·       Analyse business processes and design future-state workflows leveraging AI, automation and analytics.

·       Establish analysis standards, reusable artifacts and best practices for AI and automation initiatives.

·       Gather and document business requirements, process flows, user stories and functional specifications.

·       Partner with IT, business stakeholders and vendors to evaluate and implement technology solutions.

·       Support global programs and operational initiatives across multiple business functions.

·       Design AI-enabled dashboards, scorecards, chatbots and executive reporting solutions that deliver actionable insights.

·       Leverage AI tools to generate playbooks, training materials and knowledge assets.

Required Qualifications

·       12+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Program Operations, Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, Digital Transformation.

·       Insurance domain expertise across at least two of: commercial lines policy administration, claims, specialty, reinsurance, financial reconciliation, or regulatory reporting.

·       Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience evaluating, implementing and leveraging AI technologies.

·       Experience with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Vertex AI, Gemini, AI Agents and workflow automation platforms.

·       Strong understanding of Generative AI, prompt engineering, AI-assisted content generation, Agentic AI frameworks and business process automation.

·       Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management and executive presentation skills.

·       Experience implementing AI governance, training and adoption programs.

·       Knowledge of Agile methodologies and product management practices.

·       Strong project management skills – capable of driving complex engagements with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

·       AI certification is a plus, Google AI Essentials, IIBA CBDA, etc.
