About the role
You will produce high-quality whitepapers, technical articles, and scientific content that translate complex deep-tech research into accessible material for B2B audiences. This involves interviewing subject-matter experts, coordinating reviews, and managing the content lifecycle from initial briefing to final publication.
What they look for
Requirements
Candidates must have several years of proven experience in scientific or technical writing within a deep-tech or B2B environment. A background in natural sciences or engineering is required, along with flawless writing proficiency in both German and English.
Full description
You speak both languages: science and people.
We build award-winning smart glasses in Vienna: hardware, firmware, software, all under one roof. Eye tracking is at the heart of our technology. Our technology is complex, peer-reviewed, and genuinely worth writing about. We’re looking for a freelance science and technical writer who can take a briefing, dive deep into the subject matter, and come back with content that is accurate, compelling, and publication-ready, in both German and English.
This isn’t ghostwriting for generalists. It’s serious technical content that needs a serious writer.
Making Future Reality together - are you in?
Tasks
What You’ll Be Doing
- Whitepapers, technical articles, and scientific content that accurately represent our technology and research
- Content that makes complex deep-tech topics accessible to informed B2B audiences, without dumbing them down
- Project-based collaboration: from briefing through expert reviews to final sign-off, independently and with precision
- Interview subject-matter experts, coordinate reviews, and incorporate feedback through final approval
- Suggest ideas for diagrams, infographics, and data visualizations where they add value
- Output in both German and English, publication-ready in both
Requirements
What You Bring to the Team
- Several years of proven experience in scientific or technical writing, ideally in deep-tech or a B2B technology environment
- A background in natural sciences, engineering, or a related technical field; genuine interest in eye tracking or related topics such as computer vision, human-machine interaction, or wearables.
- The ability to independently work through complex topics after a briefing. You ask the right questions and find your own way to the answer
- Flawless writing in German and English, with a sharp eye for accuracy, nuance, and tone
- A structured, reliable, and precise way of working. You own a piece from first draft to final version
- High standards: you don’t submit something you wouldn’t put your name on.
- Being based in or near Vienna is a plus, so we can meet in person every now and then
To apply, please share
