ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

We're looking for a Product Manager to help shape and scale digital travel authorisation solutions that enable governments to securely assess traveller eligibility before departure, improve border security, and deliver frictionless traveller experiences.

You'll work on products such as Travel Authorisation platforms and related digital traveller services, enabling governments to implement digital declarations, electronic travel authorisation (ETA) and eVisa programmes, automate traveller screening, and streamline border processes while maintaining compliance with evolving regulatory and security requirements.

Joining at a formative stage of product evolution, you'll help define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, working closely with government agencies, industry partners, and internal teams to validate opportunities and prioritise the highest-impact outcomes.

You'll sit within a cross-functional portfolio spanning product, solutions, engineering, delivery, and customer engagement, ensuring customer needs, operational realities, technology opportunities, and business priorities remain tightly aligned.

It's an opportunity to help redefine how travellers interact with border authorities before their journey begins, leveraging AI, automation, and digital identity capabilities to build trusted, secure, and scalable border management solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead product discovery activities to identify customer problems and opportunities related to digital travel authorisation, traveller eligibility assessment, border security, and traveller experience, leveraging AI-enabled tools to accelerate insight generation.
  • Define and clearly articulate product vision, strategy, and measurable outcomes, ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives, customer priorities, and business goals.
  • Translate complex government policies, regulatory requirements, traveller journeys, and operational processes into clear, prioritised product requirements and roadmaps.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing travel authorisation capabilities using agile development practices.
  • Apply AI across the product lifecycle, including traveller behaviour analysis, requirements exploration, risk assessment optimisation, workflow automation, prototyping, and decision support.
  • Build business cases and value propositions that demonstrate measurable security, operational efficiency, revenue generation, and traveller experience benefits for government customers.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Commercial teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, messaging, and customer engagement plans for travel authorisation and digital border solutions.
  • Support sales, proposals, and government tender activities, acting as a subject matter expert for travel authorisation, pre-arrival processing, border security workflows, and traveller screening capabilities.
  • Define and monitor product success metrics, including application volumes, traveller conversion rates, approval times, operational efficiency, customer adoption, compliance outcomes, and business impact.
  • Continuously assess market trends, government policy developments, international travel regulations, digital identity initiatives, and emerging technologies, particularly AI and automation, to identify opportunities for product innovation.
  • Engage with a global network of government stakeholders, industry partners, and internal teams, ensuring real-world feedback and operational insights drive continuous product improvement.

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years in a Product Management role, ideally with at least 2 years working on digital platforms, traveller-facing applications, government technology solutions, identity products, or workflow-driven systems.
  • Proven product discovery and strategy skills; you can identify customer problems, test hypotheses, validate opportunities, and translate insights into a clear, prioritised roadmap.
  • Experience defining product vision, strategy, and measurable outcomes, aligning product investments with customer needs, portfolio objectives, and business goals.
  • Ability to translate complex government policies, operational processes, traveller journeys, and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable product requirements and user-centric solutions.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering and Product Owners to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing digital products using agile methodologies.
  • Experience delivering mobile applications or mobile-first digital services, with a strong understanding of user experience, customer journeys, digital onboarding, authentication, and user engagement. Able to balance traveller experience with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable facilitating discovery, design-thinking, validation, and roadmap discussions with government customers, industry partners, and internal teams.
  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach to AI; you actively use AI-enabled tools in your everyday work for research, analysis, requirements exploration, prototyping, risk assessment, and communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to shape compelling narratives and influence technical, operational, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset, balancing security, compliance, operational efficiency, and traveller experience to deliver measurable outcomes.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Domain knowledge or prior experience in border management, travel authorisation (ETA/eTA), eVisa, digital identity, traveller screening, immigration, or aviation technology.
  • Experience working with government agencies, public sector organisations, or regulated industries where compliance, policy, privacy, and security requirements are critical.
  • Understanding of traveller identity verification, biometrics, digital credentials, risk assessment, or fraud prevention capabilities. Travel Authorization includes identity and traveller assessment features supporting government decision making.
  • Experience delivering traveller-facing digital services, including mobile applications, web portals, self-service workflows, or digital onboarding solutions. Travel Authorization includes mobile and web-based application channels.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted decision support, intelligent workflow automation, analytics, or risk-based operational processes. Travel Authorization planning materials reference AI-assisted prioritisation, risk insights, and officer decision support capabilities.
  • A genuine curiosity for global travel, border security, digital identity, and how technology can create safer, more seamless journeys for travellers while improving government operations.
