About This Opportunity
The Oracle Applications Business Analyst has advanced functional and technical expertise of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) r12 application architecture, data structure and functionality of modules including Inventory, Procurement, Purchasing, Payables, Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Order Management, Trade Management, Receivables, Assets, General Ledger, Subledger Accounting and EBTax. The role analyzes complex business requirements, performs fit-gap analysis to Oracle EBS application functionality and 3rd party application integration to produce techno-functional design solutions, test plans, conversion methodologies and deployment strategies following Agile SDLC processes and meeting program timelines.
Responsibilities
- Research and continue education of Oracle EBS application implementation and best practices
- Analyze and design new complex systems using Oracle EBS and integration solutions
- Analyze and implement Oracle EBS footprint for new InComm Organizations
- Analyze and implement new Oracle EBS application modules
- Analyze complex business requirements and perform fit-gap and issues, options analysis to Oracle EBS and integration systems footprint
- Prepare detailed functional specifications for forms, extensions, interfaces, reports, conversions
- Identify areas of improvement where Oracle EBS functionality can be leveraged
- Research and recommend workarounds and process changes where applicable
- Use Oracle Forms, Reports, Oracle Workflow, Oracle Discoverer, XML/BI Publisher, Financial Statements Generator, Reports Manager, WebADI and Oracle Applications Framework to analyze and design Oracle EBS solutions
- Use Oracle EBS development tools such as PL/SQL, SQL Plus and TOAD to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve defects
- Develop test criteria and perform functional and regression tests
- Develop tests and perform system integration tests between target and source systems
- Manage and report on User Acceptance Testing
- Ensure the Oracle Development team understands the techno-functional requirements and that communication between the functional users and developers is in sync
- Prepare MD050, CV040, BR100, TE040 Design, conversion and test documents
- Provide project LOE’s, status and deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field required
- At least 5 years of experience designing, implementing and supporting Oracle EBS Applications are required
- Advanced functional and technical expertise of Oracle EBS (r12) application architecture, data structure and functionality of modules including Oracle Inventory, Procurement, Purchasing, Payables, Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Order Management, Trade Management, Receivables, Assets, General Ledger, Subledger Accounting and EBTax
- Oracle application and report development tools: PL/SQL, SQL Plus, TOAD, Forms, Reports, Oracle Workflow, Oracle Discoverer, XML/BI Publisher, Financial Statements Generator, Reports Manager, WebADI and Oracle Applications Framework
- Large Scale business transformation and implementation projects with scope spanning multiple geographies, business units and business requirements
- SDLC methodologies (Agile)
- Background or practical experience in Finance or Accounting
- Functional knowledge of U.S. accounting standards including GAAP and IFRS

- Adept at collaborating with technical teams to address application enhancements, defects and performance issues
- Demonstrated knowledge of underlying Oracle ERP applications database architecture, as well as Oracle database(11g)
- Demonstrated knowledge of design and development tools PL/SQL, SQL Plus, TOAD, Forms, Reports, Oracle Workflow, Oracle Discoverer, XML/BI Publisher, Financial Statements Generator, Reports Manager, WebADI and Oracle Applications Framework
- Demonstrated knowledge in configuration and design experience with Oracle EBS r12 modules: Oracle Inventory, Procurement, Purchasing, Payables, Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Order Management, Trade Management, Receivables, Assets, General Ledger, Subledger Accounting and EBTax
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to advance project timelines and meet deliverable dates
