The electricity market is rapidly evolving, driven by regulatory changes, technological advancements, and the energy transition. Our team is responsible for providing seamless access and managing critical interactions with Transmission System Operators. We build and maintain complex data pipelines that serve as gateways to TSOs, ensuring the smooth execution of market operations that represent billions of euros in PnL per year.
As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in understanding, structuring, and optimizing interactions with TSOs to maximize efficiency and performance.
Business & Market Analysis:
- Gain in-depth knowledge of TSO markets, market mechanisms, and how they impact the company in the Short Term Power.
- Keep track of regulatory and operational changes affecting the electricity market.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on TSO access, balancing mechanisms and Redispatching
Requirements Definition & Solution Design:
- Perform detailed studies to understand business needs through close collaboration with portfolio managers and market operators.
- Define and document business processes, workflows, and interactions with TSOs.
- Work closely with the architecture team to design scalable, efficient solutions for market integration.
- Translate business needs into clear and structured functional requirements in collaboration with business and IS teams
Implementation Support & Project Coordination:
- Act as a functional referent throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with developers to validate implementations, conduct UAT, and troubleshoot issues.
- Support change management and ensure smooth adoption of new tools and processes.
Qualifications
- Electricity Market Expertise – Knowledge of European TSO operations, balancing markets, and energy regulations.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to analyze complex market interactions and propose optimized solutions.
- Process Mapping & Functional Design – Experience in documenting business requirements, designing workflows, and defining system interactions.
- Collaboration & Communication – Comfortable working across business teams, IT, and architecture, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear requirements.
- Adaptability & Innovation – Ability to stay ahead of market changes and regulatory evolutions, ensuring solutions remain relevant and efficient.
