Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead, coach, develop, and manage a team of process engineers and technicians supporting SMT manufacturing, including board printing, SPI, pick and place, reflow, AOI, X-ray, and other back-end operations, excluding Box Assembly.
  • Establish clear goals, priorities, performance expectations, and development plans for engineering team members. Provide regular coaching, feedback, performance management, and career development.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve process capabilities to achieve required levels of quality, reliability, throughput, capacity, and cost.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, PFMEA, Control Plans, process specifications, and other applicable manufacturing documentation.
  • Lead engineering efforts to identify and eliminate process variation, defects, scrap, rework, downtime, and other sources of manufacturing inefficiency.
  • Use data-driven problem-solving and appropriate engineering methodologies, including statistical analysis, SPC, DOE, root-cause analysis, and structured corrective action, to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate engineering and manufacturing performance metrics.

OEE, scrap, and yield to name a few

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, problem solving, and ownership within the engineering organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, tools, standards, and best practices and share lessons learned across the organization.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable safety, environmental, quality-system, regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and other technical partners as required.
  • Communicate engineering priorities, project status, risks, resource requirements, and recommendations effectively to site and senior leadership.
  • Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit, retain, develop, and motivate a qualified and high-performing engineering workforce.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
