Full description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Analyst based in the United States.

This role supports business and financial management initiatives within a federal government environment. You will analyze business processes, requirements, and financial procedures to help stakeholders make informed decisions. The position combines business analysis, financial regulation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. You will translate complex requirements and regulatory guidance into clear processes, reports, presentations, and actionable recommendations. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders on projects supporting important government missions. Attention to detail, strong communication, and an understanding of federal financial management practices will be essential to success. This is a fully remote opportunity, subject to specific U.S. location and security requirements.

Accountabilities

• Analyze business processes, operational requirements, and financial management procedures to identify needs, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

• Interpret and apply Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR) requirements or comparable federal financial management regulations.

• Develop and maintain business documentation, requirements, process documentation, analytical reports, presentations, and other professional deliverables.

• Communicate business findings, recommendations, requirements, and process considerations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Use Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to analyze information and produce high-quality business deliverables.

• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand business needs, evaluate potential solutions, and support effective implementation.

• Contribute to financial management and business analysis activities while ensuring work aligns with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate, well-structured work within established timelines.

• Support continuous improvement by identifying process challenges and recommending practical, effective solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

• At least 3 years of documented business analyst experience.

• Active Secret security clearance.

• Demonstrated experience working with the DoD Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR) or a comparable federal financial management regulation.

• Experience analyzing business processes, documenting requirements, developing reports, and supporting financial management activities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and contribute within a team-oriented environment.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Experience supporting the Department of Defense, federal government, or government contracting organizations is preferred.

• Familiarity with federal financial management processes, policies, and controls is advantageous.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Candidates must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, an eligible U.S. state; relocation assistance is not provided.
