Key Duties and Responsibilities (50%)
- Determine value of over, short, or damaged product identified at receipt, and collaborate with Transportation Team to determine at-fault party for damage claims, as needed.
- Identify warehouse receipt discrepancy instances, identify action path for resolution and execute as required to resolve issues and prevent loss of compensation for damaged or short product.
- Research and respond to inquiries from accounting and corporate claims departments regarding receiving and/or claims discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all overages, shortages, and damages (OSDs) notated at receipt. Provide OSD reporting, as needed.
- Schedule pickup appointments with carriers and provide required documentation to all parties.
- Create and waive shipments to maintain tracking of returns
Operational & Customer Support Duties (30%)
- Identify incomplete or incorrect OSDs, assemble backup documents, and forward to the operations department for follow-up.
- Provide assistance to other departments to improve processes and/or resolve issues related to crossdocking, supplier claims, and other areas as needed or requested.
- Research and approve or deny DC related detention requests.
- Provide back up for processing unbilled (add on) requests.
Additional Duties (20%)
- Research DC or carrier issues and prepare reports for communication to the DC, carrier, management or other departments as needed.
- Generate and distribute both scheduled and ad-hoc reports as required
- Serve as the back up for the Transportation Router as needed or requested.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- High school diploma or GED; 1 to 2+ years of warehouse/distribution center or transportation/logistics related experience. Must have strong attention to details and accuracy and intermediate knowledge of and experience with the use of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word). Must work independently with minimal supervision and be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritize work tasks in a fast paced environment. Strong math and problem solving skills. (Required)
- Greater than 3 years of experience in a warehouse/distribution center or logistics/supply chain environment. Previous experience using SAP, fleet routing software. (Preferred)
