You will also be participating as an applications specialist in the integration of Corporate Finance data into Heitman's cloud-based data and business intelligence platform to expand our vast data and analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Business Analysis & Project Management

  • Develop detailed project execution plans to monitor and track progress based upon deliverables and prepare/present regular project status reports and issues to the Corporate Finance business unit.
  • Create business requirements documents, application process workflows and data diagrams, and other formal artifacts to enable the design, development, installation, modification and documentation of assigned applications.
  • Work with internal and external resources within the parameters of the overall project plan to gather requirements and accomplish objectives, including planning and leading requirement analysis and clarification sessions, and requirements change management.
  • Support testing efforts, including but not limited to: writing, prioritizing and executing test cases, prioritizing and supporting resolution of bugs, coordinating testing cycles with end users and obtaining testing sign-off.
  • Assist team members in clearing roadblocks to the original plan as necessary to ensure successful project implementation and following up with the customer to confirm satisfaction with the implementation.
  • Participate as an application specialist on Heitman's data/business intelligence initiative, representing the Corporate Finance business applications that you will be responsible for supporting.

Business Application Support

  • Manage the vendor relationship for supported applications including invoice approvals, contract reviews and general management.
  • Support and enhance the existing application portfolio with additional functionality, enhancements, and integrations with backend systems.
  • Perform configuration changes in applications as required, following standard policies and procedures.
  • Create and maintain training materials for end users.
  • Analyze incoming requests and categorize them appropriately as application bugs versus major/small enhancements for tracking/triaging/training.
  • Conduct regular application reviews to detect data integrity and performance throughput issues and identify areas of improvement.
  • Design and implement data quality checks to identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement remedial solutions.
  • Document, assess severity, and communicate issues within the applications and their processes to the end users. Take ownership of resolving issues in an effective and timely manner: engaging appropriate internal/external resources as appropriate and updating business clients on progress towards resolution. Escalate/inform any high severity and/or critical issues to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Diagnose and resolve user problems and questions, educate users on resolutions, and assist with navigating the platform promptly and professionally. Escalate problems as necessary to ensure awareness and seek assistance with resolution.
  • Manage timely application upgrades as required; utilize requirements documents to develop test scripts and work with business stakeholders and perform necessary testing and user acceptance testing where appropriate.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at identifying root cause and championing solutions.
  • Ability to translate technical terms into clear customer-oriented language, and converse with both end-users and technology team members.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaborative work with all stakeholders: functional experts, 3rd party technology vendors, technology team and end users.
