Currently, we are seeking a Design Project Manager to become a part of the HIROTEC AMERICA, Inc. team.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Design Project Manager will be responsible to:

  • Review project proposals to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
  • Provide direct customer contact and attend design review meetings with customers.
  • Explain technical expertise for overall project management of the design.
  • Outline, manage and maintain work plans to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and work to resolve problems regarding design.
  • Maintain project timeline and budget.
  • Maintain Job Log on tooling changes and documentation of changes made by the customer on project.
  • Attend and document all Standard Component Buy-Offs.

The position requirements include:

  • A Bachelor's degree and/or minimum ten years design experience specializing in automotive Body In White processing and tooling
  • Knowledge in blueprint reading, manual design and CAD design on several systems (UG, AutoCAD, IDEAS, CATIA)
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of the Automotive Industry (closures/BIW - OEM preferred)
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Products)
  • Technical aptitude with problem solving skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and must possess strong organizational skills, teamwork and leadership skills
