Overview

Tremend is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to figure out our clients’ most complex and challenging problems across different industries. We are on a mission to transform the world, and you will be instrumental in shaping how we do it with your ideas, thoughts, and solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Build the ultimate service environment for over 150 developers

• Create and nurture new ways to deliver secure, reliable, and highly available business-critical software

• Help us spread the DevOps culture throughout the company

• Provide custom solutions for custom projects, both as an autonomous engineer and as part of a team

• Build infrastructure as code from the ground up, primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with integration and deployment across AWS and/or Azure environments as required

• Provide support for our teams and clients

Skills & Experience:

Ops & Infrastructure

• Advanced Linux setup & operation

• System and network security & incident mitigation

• Distributed file systems: GlusterFS, Ceph

• Caching solutions: Varnish, Redis, Memcache

Provisioning

• Terraform

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as the primary cloud environment

• Experience working with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments

• Ability to design, deploy, and manage infrastructure across GCP and at least one additional cloud platform (AWS or Azure)

CI/CD

• SCM: Gitlab, Bitbucket, GitHub

• Any combination of: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Gitlab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines

Deployment

• Docker, Docker Compose

• Orchestrators: Kubernetes, Rancher

Monitoring, performance

• ELK stack

• Prometheus

• Grafana, Graphite, stats

Programming

• Bash

• Python

• Basic understanding of how Java/Node.js/Golang/PHP operate

DB

• Setup, operate and troubleshoot SQL (any combination): MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL

• NoSQL (any combination): MongoDB, Couchbase, Redis, Elasticsearch, ArangoDB

AI-Assisted Engineering Skills

• Practical experience using organization- or client-approved AI-assisted engineering tools
• Ability to leverage AI assistance for Terraform and CI/CD pipeline development, scripting, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, documentation, and knowledge discovery.
• Ability to critically assess, test, and validate AI-generated code, configurations, and recommendations prior to production deployment.
