Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Building Construction to lead the end-to-end delivery of mega-scale high-rise building projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing 50+ storey high-rise buildings and complex deep-basement structures, from mobilisation through testing, commissioning, and final handover.
The role requires strong leadership, technical, commercial, planning, stakeholder-management, and project-delivery capabilities within the UAE construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the complete lifecycle of high-rise building construction projects, from mobilisation through final handover.
- Oversee complex construction activities including deep excavation, dewatering, shoring, secant/diaphragm walls, raft foundations, and high-rise superstructure works.
- Manage project cost, programme, quality, HSE, resources, productivity, and overall delivery performance.
- Coordinate closely with the Client, Consultant, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant UAE authorities.
- Manage project budgets, cash flow, variations, value engineering, and FIDIC-based contractual requirements in coordination with the Commercial team.
- Lead authority approval processes, inspections, NOCs, and requirements for project completion and handover.
- Develop and implement effective site logistics strategies, including tower cranes, material hoists, vertical transportation, and concrete pumping systems.
- Monitor the critical path and proactively address construction, procurement, technical, logistical, and schedule-related risks.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including Construction Managers, MEP, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, and Commercial teams.
- Ensure strict compliance with UAE construction regulations, HSE standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
- Utilise Primavera P6/MS Project for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress control.
- Coordinate BIM activities for clash detection, sequencing, coordination, and progress monitoring.
- Provide regular project performance updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Drive timely completion of the project while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and commercial performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 10–15 years of post-graduate experience in building construction.
- Mandatory proven experience managing 50+ storey high-rise projects in the UAE.
- Strong experience with 4+ level deep-basement construction, excavation, shoring, dewatering, and complex urban projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of high-rise construction methodologies, including post-tensioned slabs, high-strength concrete, jump-form/slip-form systems, and façade/curtain wall installation.
- Strong understanding of UAE building regulations, authority approvals, HSE requirements, and applicable local standards.
- Proven experience managing large multidisciplinary construction teams and major project budgets.
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Practical knowledge of BIM, including 4D/5D BIM applications.
- PMP certification is expected.
- CEng, MCIOB, or MRICS certification will be an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong experience working with major developers, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities in the UAE.
