Job Description
Accountabilities:
Part of a multinational and multicultural organization that is committed to professional development. Reporting to the Head Global Supply Planning within the Global Supply Chain Organization. Responsible for delivering robust global supply plans, providing supply chain reporting, and maintaining master data integrity using Amgen’s planning and execution systems.
Responsibilities:
- Leading complex and multi-faceted end-to-end product supply chain and network balancing scenario analyses that support critical business decision making.
- Presenting outcome of scenario analyses to Senior and Executive Management
- Develop supply transition strategy for Life Cycle Management initiatives
- Leading supply transition plans amongst existing supply chain nodes based on changes to supply, demand or regulatory approval assumption for Life Cycle Management initiatives
- Provides leadership in balancing supply plans amongst several manufacturing stages/sites that supports demand and maintains safety stock levels (monthly)
- Presents end-to-end Demand & Supply plans, including Supply Planning Quality Checks, to ensure plan integrity at Planning Cycle completion (monthly)
- Performs pre-planning quality checks to ensure MRP integrity (monthly) for a number of Amgen commercial products.
- Establishes supply plans for new supply chain nodes using strategic inputs provided by the Global Supply Chain Lead (GSCL)
- Support & adopts supply chain automation & AI Transformation initiatives
- Is a standing member on the Global Supply Chain Team and provides key risks and insights to anticipate risks & opportunities and closes blind spots in the end-to-end Supply Chain
- Business process owner of the following Supply Chain business processes:
1. Annual Working Cell Bank Supply Management 2. Global Temperature Excursion Form Generation and updating 3. Supply Chain reporting to Tax and Treasury Departments 4. Global Master Data Integrity – Request & Maintenance of SAP & RapidResponse Master Data
Qualifications:
The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience, or the equivalent
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 8-13 years of experience required over all
Doctorate degree OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of directly related experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of directly related experience OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of directly related experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of directly related experience
Preferred Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge and experience in the application of advanced planning techniques as it relates to demand and supply planning, MRP, production planning and inventory control. They should have outstanding communication capabilities and must be comfortable and confident dealing with all levels of management within the organization.
- 4 plus years of experience in global pharmaceutical, biotech or similar industry
- Solid understanding of demand/supply planning, Supply Chain principles, and logistics
- Ability to perform system based advanced supply planning and scenario analysis
- Detail oriented with strong business analytical skills and company wide knowledge
- Process oriented mindset with willingness to call out gaps and seek solutions
- Able to communicate across a wide range of staff levels and develop effective relationships in a matrix organization
- Able to handle multiple responsibilities and priorities simultaneously under constrained timelines
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel
