The Senior Digital Product Manager for the UnitedHealthcare App platform is responsible for establishing App platform operating excellence through scalable reporting, Voice of the Customer insights, stakeholder communications, intake management, release governance, and actionable insights. This role will create operating leverage by making performance signals, feedback analysis, recurring communications, and release rhythms more consistent, efficient, and scalable.
The position will transform customer feedback and platform data into clear reporting and decision support for product leaders and cross-functional partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Voice of the Customer Reporting and Analysis: Manage recurring reporting from AppFollow, Qualtrics, app-store reviews, and other feedback sources. Organize qualitative and quantitative feedback into recurring themes, customer needs, experience gaps, and emerging areas of concern
- Customer, App-Store, and Market Insights: Analyze app ratings, reviews, sentiment, feedback trends, and relevant market signals to identify recurring patterns
- Monitor competitor ratings, reviews, keywords, and experience trends
- Develop concise insight packets that explain what customers are reporting, how themes are changing, and where additional product investigation may be needed
- AI-Enabled Reporting and Automation: Identify opportunities to use approved AI and automation capabilities to reduce manual reporting, summarize findings, identify recurring themes and emerging signals, and improve the consistency of recurring deliverables. Establish documented processes and quality checks to verify that AI-assisted outputs are accurate, traceable, and appropriate for stakeholder use
- Platform Performance Reporting: Manage monthly App KPI, download, rating, and performance reporting processes. Maintain consistent dashboards and recurring scorecards that provide visibility into App platform health and customer experience signals
- Coordinate GoAppGo and Abyss scorecard inputs and ensure reporting is current, accessible, and clearly communicated
- Actionable Insight and Early Signal Development: Connect customer feedback with available operational and performance data to identify meaningful patterns, recurring complaints, potential defects, experience friction, and feature requests. Prepare objective, data-supported findings and route signals to the appropriate product, experience, engineering, or operational owner for evaluation
- Stakeholder Communications: Manage the App platform communication calendar and draft recurring stakeholder updates, including platform performance summaries, customer feedback themes, scorecard updates, release communications, and demo App updates for EDP and other partners
- Release Governance and Readiness: Coordinate release governance activities by maintaining release checklists, capturing readiness signals, tracking dependencies and action items, and documenting decisions. Escalate incomplete inputs, unresolved dependencies, or emerging customer experience risks to the appropriate product and engineering leaders
- Product Intake and Documentation: Maintain consistent intake practices and support Aha hygiene, decision logs, action-item tracking, and product documentation
- Ensure requests and feedback signals contain sufficient context for product owners to evaluate and determine next steps
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product management, user experience, measurement, engineering, operations, and other stakeholders to share insights, reduce siloed reporting, and ensure relevant customer and platform signals reach the teams positioned to act on them
- Executive and Operating Review Support: Partner with App platform leadership to develop the monthly operating review, executive narrative, and platform KPI story
- Prepare supporting materials that highlight key patterns, changes, risks, and areas that may require leadership attention
- Continuous Improvement and Expansion: Establish standardized templates, repeatable workflows, reusable reporting, and documented operating processes that can be executed consistently across locations and teams
- As these practices mature, support their adoption across additional Mobile Center of Excellence applications or web experiences
- Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as a digital product manager, digital product owner, product operations manager, digital insights manager, business analyst, or in a similar role supporting a digital product organization
- Experience working with mobile applications, app-store experiences, or other consumer-facing digital products
- Experience analyzing qualitative customer feedback and quantitative product or operational data
- Experience in creating recurring reports, dashboards, scorecards, executive summaries, or operating-review materials
- Experience using analytics, automation, or AI-assisted tools to synthesize information, identify patterns, or improve operational efficiency
- Experience with product management, customer feedback, analytics, or reporting tools such as Aha, AppFollow, Qualtrics, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms
- Understanding of agile product development, scrum principles, and the digital product lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to review and validate AI-assisted outputs for accuracy, relevance, and appropriate business use
- Demonstrated ability to translate large volumes of customer feedback and performance information into clear themes, trends, insights, and areas for further investigation
- Demonstrated solid written communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise stakeholder updates and leadership-ready narratives
- Demonstrated solid attention to detail and experience managing recurring processes, deliverables, documentation, action items, and cross-functional dependencies
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with geographically distributed teams through clear documentation, structured handoffs, and recurring collaboration forums
- Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships across product, design, research, measurement, engineering, operations, and business teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Voice of the Customer programs, app-store reputation management, digital insights, or customer experience measurement
- Experience analyzing app ratings, reviews, sentiment, recurring customer themes, or feature requests
- Experience combining feedback from multiple sources to create an integrated view of customer experience
- Experience with app-store optimization, keyword analysis, competitor review analysis, or mobile market intelligence
- Experience improving or automating recurring reporting and operational processes
- Experience supporting release governance, release readiness, or digital product intake processes
