Job Overview:

As an AVP Tech, DevOps Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for the Enterprise DevSecOps Engineering team and drive initiatives that enhance developer experience, delivery velocity, quality, and security across the organization. This role partners closely with engineering teams and enterprise platform providers to establish DevOps strategy, define technical roadmaps, implement scalable solutions, and promote operational excellence across cloud and CI/CD ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering initiatives that improve developer experience and accelerate software delivery across the enterprise.
  • Drive operational excellence for connected services supporting continuous 24x7x365 operations.
  • Gather technical requirements from business and technology stakeholders and develop enterprise CI/CD strategies and objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and establish standards that align engineering outcomes with business priorities.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to define, promote, and scale DevOps practices across product engineering teams.
  • Develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business and technology objectives.
  • Establish deployment standards, reusable interfaces, and automation frameworks for enterprise adoption.
  • Evaluate industry trends and continuously improve deployment processes, tooling, and engineering practices.
  • Use data-driven approaches to understand user needs and prioritize platform enhancements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business capabilities, technology domains, and end-to-end dependencies.
  • Drive innovation and automation that improve developer productivity and platform capabilities.
  • Participate in strategic planning activities to achieve technical and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Platform Engineering, Quality Engineering, Cloud Engineering, and Change & Release Management teams to deliver scalable technical solutions and prioritized roadmaps.

What Are We Looking For?

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience across multiple technology disciplines, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise CI/CD solutions.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience automating, deploying, and managing cloud-based applications and infrastructure in AWS.
  • 2+ years of experience working with container orchestration platforms such as Amazon EKS or Red Hat OpenShift.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience implementing and supporting feature flag strategies and Blue-Green deployment architectures in enterprise environments.
  • Experience across DevOps lifecycle domains including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Container Orchestration, Configuration Management, Infrastructure Automation, Monitoring and Observability, and Security and Compliance.

Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of basic .NET, Angular, and Python development and deployment constructs.
  • Troubleshooting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
  • Ability to learn and quickly absorb new material with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability to changing priorities and workloads.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus in a dynamic environment.
  • Deep understanding of API design principles, platform design versus application design, and modern API tooling.
  • Experience managing dynamic global configurations for applications and environment variables.
  • Experience with DevOps automation practices including branching strategies, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Everything-as-Code, Kubernetes, GitOps, Blue-Green deployments, and Canary deployments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Preferences:

  • Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise DevOps platforms and tools including GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, Octopus Deploy, AWS services, testing automation tools, and security and vulnerability management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI capabilities within DevOps toolchains and engineering workflows to improve developer productivity, automation, operational efficiency, and delivery outcomes.
  • Experience building source control management (SCM), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD) solutions that simplify the developer experience.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, technical leadership, and team coaching capabilities.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

 

Pay Range:

$118,656.00 - $197,760.00  

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
