EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER (M/F/D) CAR ACCESS

YOUR TASKS We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and deliver high-performance automotive car access and connectivity systems. The role combines hands-on embedded development with software architecture responsibility in a safety-critical environment. You will work on highly innovative technologies such as UWB-based digital keys, wireless communication, and radar sensing, contributing directly to future comfort, safety, and security features, and collaborate within global, cross-functional development teams, driving the definition and development of customer-facing innovations and features.
- Design and develop real-time embedded software in C for automotive ECUs
- Define and implement scalable, modular software architectures
- Integrate and optimize solutions on microcontrollers and SoCs (e.g., NXP, TI)
- Perform advanced debugging and root cause analysis using tools such as JTAG, Lauterbach, and trace/log analysis
- Develop and integrate connectivity solutions (CAN, LIN, Bluetooth, NFC, UWB)
- Ensure compliance with ASPICE processes, ISO 26262 (functional safety), and cybersecurity requirements
- Collaborate closely with OEMs, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
- Drive system-level integration and hardware–software interaction
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation
- Support project delivery by aligning stakeholders and ensuring quality standards
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field
- Strong experience in embedded C development and real-time systems
- Experience with debugging complex embedded systems
- Experience in Car Access / Digital Key / Smart Entry systems
- Experience with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, NFC, UWB)
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
- Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity
- Familiarity with ASPICE and ISO 26262
- Strong communication skills and experience working with OEMs and suppliers
- Background in software architecture and system design
