Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia

Expected start date: November, 1st, 2026

We are looking for a motivated Diploma Student or Intern to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cloud technologies, automation, and modern software delivery practices while contributing to real-world projects in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Our team supports cloud products such as Digital Currency Hub, Customer Checkout Manager Cloud Edition, Smart Helpers and Supportability Services. We utilise the latest technologies, including Kubernetes (K8s), K8s operators, and GitHub Actions-based pipelines, to deliver significant business value to customers worldwide and help them operate more effectively.

• Develop a passion for coding, automation, and cloud-native technologies.

• Assist in the design, development, testing, and delivery of container-based execution environments.

• Support the development of Kubernetes orchestration frameworks under guidance of senior engineers.

• Help automate operational practices and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements.

• Contribute to the technical execution of delivery architecture and support cloud enablement efforts.

• Learn and apply best practices in the software development lifecycle.

• Work effectively in a fast-paced, agile team environment and collaborate on feature delivery.

• Document findings, processes, and solutions as part of your diploma thesis or internship report.

• Flexible working hours; part-time arrangements possible in coordination with university schedule

Key Requirement:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Highly motivated and technology-oriented with a strong willingness to learn.

• Basic knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration concepts (Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD concepts.

• Basic programming skills in one or more of the following: Java, Python, Go, Shell Script, or JavaScript.

• Interest in cloud infrastructure, deployment methodologies, and DevOps/SRE practices.

• Interest in large-scale cloud software build, integration, and test environments.

• Experience with test-driven development approaches is a plus.

• Agile mindset, quick to learn, and eager to collaborate with the team.

• No prior professional experience required. Academic projects, hackathons, or personal coding projects are considered a plus.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in both written and spoken Slovak and English.

Compensation Range Transparency

SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range for the posted role, with a targeted range of 0-EUR. The actual amount offered to successful candidates will fall within this range and will depend on factors such as education, skills, experience, and role scope, as determined during the selection process.
