Full description

The Senior Financial Analyst will assist the CFO in creating and updating financial reports, projections and presentations to be used in communications with Company management and the Board of Directors. This individual will be responsible for providing reliable data and analysis to be used in decision-making and planning across the Company. The Senior Financial Analyst will generate accurate monthly financial reports, play a crucial role in the development of budgets and forecasts as well as prepare monthly and quarterly board presentations. The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Hold primary responsibility for FP&A activities, including reporting and budgeting, in support of the CFO, the CEO and Board.
  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions.
  • Partner directly with the Accounting Team to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison to the private equity partner of the Company, including presentations, Q&A support, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities/Attributes:

  • Experience developing and maintaining complex, dynamic financial models in Excel.
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Expert level knowledge of Power BI.
  • Ability to utilize AI-powered tools and technologies to enhance financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and data analysis while exercising independent judgment to validate results, ensure data integrity, and support informed business decisions.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with various levels of management.
  • Knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles.
  • Ability to take instruction from multiple sources and to manage deliverables accordingly.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work in a team environment, successfully integrating individual work efforts to meet team objectives.
  • Excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, flexible approach to work and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet multiple hard deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work overtime.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in FP&A.
  • Experience building financial models with dynamic forecasting.
  • Experience manipulating large data sets to produce analyses.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong accounting background preferred.
  • Experience working with private equity sponsor a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.
  • Occasional travel required.
