This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager based in Canada.
This is an opportunity to lead end-to-end software implementation projects for mission-driven organizations using a cloud-based platform. You will guide customers through onboarding, implementation, go-live, and transition while ensuring solutions align with their operational and strategic needs. The role combines project leadership, customer engagement, technical coordination, and solution delivery. You will work closely with customers and internal teams across Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Professional Services. Your work will help organizations streamline grant-making processes, strengthen donor engagement, track program outcomes, and improve their overall impact. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing timelines, resources, scope, risks, and customer expectations in a fast-paced environment. Accountabilities
- Lead end-to-end customer implementation projects from kickoff through go-live and transition to Customer Support or Customer Success.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocations based on customer requirements and implementation objectives.
- Coordinate technical resources, consultants, and customer stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule and within agreed scope.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and potential delivery challenges.
- Maintain clear and consistent project status reporting for customers, executives, and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary customer contact throughout implementation, building trusted relationships and ensuring effective communication.
- Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements-gathering discussions to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable project requirements.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly in business-oriented language and ensure customers understand project decisions, priorities, and dependencies.
- Manage customer expectations, scope, priorities, and change throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare executive-level steering committee materials and project updates.
- Validate that configured solutions meet customer business requirements and established implementation best practices.
- Collaborate with solution architects, technical consultants, and Engineering teams to resolve technical blockers and delivery issues.
- Oversee data migration, integrations, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Ensure implementation projects follow established methodologies, quality standards, documentation practices, and delivery processes.
- Share customer feedback and product insights with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Support teams to support continuous improvement.
- Partner with Sales and Digital Transformation teams during pre-sales activities, including project scoping, estimation, solution planning, and proposal development.
- Ensure seamless post-go-live transitions through comprehensive documentation and structured handoff information for Customer Success and Support teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of implementation methodologies, templates, playbooks, and project management practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, scalability, customer outcomes, and adherence to implementation standards.
- Drive successful outcomes measured through on-time and on-budget delivery, customer satisfaction, product adoption, transition quality, and implementation efficiency.
Requirements
- You have 3–7+ years of project management experience, ideally within Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), software implementation, Professional Services, or Information Technology (IT) services.
- You have a strong understanding of SaaS delivery models, software implementation, data migration, integrations, and cloud technologies.
- You have demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.
- You have strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- You can translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks and coordinate effectively with technical teams.
- You are comfortable managing project scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks, and customer expectations.
- You have experience working directly with customers and can communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to follow projects through to completion.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is preferred.
- Prior experience within a Professional Services or Customer Success organization is preferred.
- Familiarity with Application Programming Interface (API) integrations and data mapping concepts is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), security, or analytics solutions, is a plus.
- You are comfortable working collaboratively across Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and other functions.
- You demonstrate a customer-focused mindset and the ability to balance business needs with technical constraints and delivery requirements.
- You are proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working with autonomy in a distributed organization.
