Full description
As Senior Project Manager, you are the execution engine of a high-visibility transformation program to turn strategy into delivery while a team of project managers looks to you for direction. You will drive day-to-day delivery, governance, resourcing, and coaching across the portfolio.
You will work closely with the program's Project Managers, Vendors, and Business Stakeholders and Executives to ensure the portfolio of projects is aligned for success across key metrics and deliverables.
Salary Range: $88,000 CAD to $120,000 CAD
Responsibilities
- Status tracking & reporting — own end-to-end program status and lead risk and issue assessment across the portfolio.
- Execution of program strategy — chair PM standups and PM forums, share best practices, and assign clear actions to project managers and business leads.
- Resource planning — manage program staffing availability against forecast demand.
- Project manager coaching & mentoring — track project-level KPIs and Scope, Cost and Schedule adherence while coaching and growing the PM team.
- Lead large, complex projects and business transformation initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues and drive issue resolution to closure.
- Communicate effectively across:
- Project teams and delivery partners
- Business stakeholders and executive leaders
- Vendors and contractors
- Advance the program's methodology and governance.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration or Computer Science.
- 5 to 10 years of project management experience.
- PMP — Project Management Professional certification.
- Agile / Scrum Master certification; ITIL an asset.
