Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities: Job summary
Communicates with colleagues in various MSC departments to understand their needs and renders and relays information to Business Transformation team to find effective business solutions.
Ensures and supports adoption of solutions, enabling users make best use of the dashboards, tools, and reports.
Essential functions
- Acts as bridge, relaying information from MSC departments to the appropriate Business Transformation branch in order to find the best tool/reporting/visual solution; Ensures successful product delivery and adoption.
- Understands the vast data available in the organization in order to guide the decision-making process and manage expectations.
- Develops meaningful and lasting relationships with partnering departments for optimized systems integration, and responds to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations; Can effectively navigate and work with ambiguous information.
- Manages requests, and monitors time constraints and schedules; Organizes tasks and teams to ensure the delivery of a good product and maintains a good team attitude with clear communication and collaboration; Analyze process issues and bottlenecks and to make improvements.
- Offers data and database operational support post project; Creates and maintains training material and train end-users as necessary.
- Presence required on‑site 5 days per week
- Other duties as assigned.
This role requires working on-site in the office for five days a week, from Monday to Friday. There is no option for fully remote or hybrid work in this role, unless required off-site duties are being performed.
Qualifications & Key Competencies: Required skills / abilities
- An in depth understanding of MSC’s processes and procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously and navigate ambiguity
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload
- Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environment
- Ability to proactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be highly organized with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- Fluency in English (Spoken and written communications)
- Solution oriented mindset
- MS- Office, especially MS Excel, with the ability to learn new software: expert
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Business, Data or related field of study
- Some experience with/conceptual understanding of Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Looker or any other data visualization tool.
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst: Project Scoping, Business Requirements development, Test Cases
- Knowledge in Shipping/ Supply Chain / Logistics / Integrations
- Awareness of MSC digital capabilities
- Experience supporting projects throughout their lifetime
- Able to interact with a diverse group of stakeholders to determine how best to meet their needs and to perform extensive quality assurance and training
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Must be able to commute to the designated office location
- Presence required on‑site 5 days per week
