About the role

Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models for customer segmentation, recommendation systems, and revenue or demand forecasting, using large-scale datasets and Apache Spark/PySpark. Prepare production-ready ML code, support model monitoring and automated retraining, and collaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams to integrate models into existing environments.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join exciting, large-scale AI and Machine Learning projects at Türkiye's leading airline, contributing to innovative, data-driven solutions that shape the future of aviation.✈️

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize Machine Learning models for real-world business challenges.
  • Work on Customer Segmentation, Recommendation Systems, and Revenue/Demand Forecasting projects.
  • Process and analyze large-scale datasets using Apache Spark / PySpark.
  • Perform feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and optimization.
  • Develop production-ready ML code and support model monitoring and automated retraining processes.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams to integrate ML models into existing environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Python and Traditional Machine Learning techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost, or LightGBM.
  • Solid knowledge of Classification, Regression, Clustering, and predictive modeling.
  • Practical experience in Customer Segmentation, Recommendation Systems, or Forecasting.
  • Experience developing and preparing ML models for production environments.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Spark MLlib.
  • Familiarity with OpenShift or container-based environments.

Knowledge of S3, Apache Iceberg, or Feature Store architectures.
