Ciklum is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team full-time in Bulgaria.

About the role:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to drive deployment reliability, infrastructure automation, and operational excellence across a multi-cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure & Cloud: Design, build, and maintain robust infrastructure across Azure (AKS) and GCP (GKE)
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaCode): Build, maintain, and optimize scalable infrastructure using IaC best practices (Terraform/Terragrunt)
  • Kubernetes Orchestration: Deploy, manage, scale, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
  • CI/CD Automation: Develop and maintain Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, establishing reusable pipeline templates to streamline development
  • GitOps & Deployment: Automate application deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and continuous delivery workflows using Argo CD
  • Security & Compliance: Integrate modern security best practices into DevOps workflows, covering deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure
  • Networking: Manage complex networking components, including ingress controllers (NGINX), load balancing, and service routing
  • Collaboration & Support: Partner with software engineering teams to optimize release processes, resolve production issues, and troubleshoot infrastructure bottlenecks

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in production environments
  • Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, specifically AKS. Containerization: Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
  • Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform and/or Terragrunt
  • GitOps & CI/CD: Hands-on experience implementing GitOps workflows using Argo CD and building Azure DevOps YAML-based pipelines
  • SecDevOps: Experience integrating security tooling and practices (e.g., WAF, SAST/SCA, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, container/IaC security)
  • OS & Scripting: Strong proficiency with Linux environments and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts, including Ingress Controllers (e.g., NGINX) and Load Balancing
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional troubleshooting skills, a positive and service-oriented mindset, a fast learner, and the ability to execute independently

Desirable:

  • Experience managing workloads in GCP (GKE)
  • Experience leveraging or integrating AI-powered engineering, automation, or operational tools to optimize workflows
