Cloud Solution Architect – Data & AI
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Cloud Solution Architect to join our Cloud Data Solutions team.
This role is ideal for someone with experience designing and implementing cloud solutions who wants to expand their expertise in modern data platforms, AI enablement, and enterprise architecture.
The successful candidate will partner with senior architects, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to design scalable cloud-native solutions, build data products, and contribute to foundational AI capabilities. This is a highly hands-on role that combines solution architecture, cloud engineering, and data engineering.
You will have the opportunity to help establish the data foundations that support analytics, business intelligence, automation, and emerging AI initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, cloud-native solutions using AWS and Databricks.
- Translate business and technical requirements into secure, reliable, and cost-effective architecture.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL.
- Build and support enterprise lakehouse data products and integrate data from diverse sources.
- Implement data quality, monitoring, governance, and operational controls.
- Optimize cloud data platforms and processing workloads for performance and cost efficiency.
- Enable AI, analytics, and automation use cases through trusted, well-structured data assets.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Troubleshoot platform and data pipeline issues across development and production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance architecture standards, platform capabilities, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in solution architecture, cloud engineering, software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical role.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, Python, SQL, and modern data architectures (data warehouse, data lake, or lakehouse).
- Knowledge of CI/CD, source control, and DevOps practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and enterprise data pipelines.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud automation, and data governance concepts.
- Exposure to AI/ML, large language models (LLMs), or intelligent automation solutions.
- AWS, Databricks, or related cloud certifications.
