We are looking for a Global Spares Product Manager to join drive our growing Service business. The role is ideally based in Italy near/at our production facility in Lavis, and reports to Chief Operations Officer.
Role Overview
The Global Spares Product Manager is responsible for defining, developing, and optimizing the spare parts offering across Gunnebo Entrance Control’s global product portfolio. This includes ensuring availability, profitability, and customer satisfaction through effective portfolio management, lifecycle planning, pricing strategies, and cross-functional coordination.
This is a newly established role within the organisation, with a strong mandate to build and shape the spares management function and drive spares as a growth area for Gunnebo. The successful candidate will take ownership not only of the operational performance of the spares business, but also of defining processes, governance, and ways of working to enable a structured and scalable approach across regions.
Working closely with product management, engineering, supply chain, service, and sales teams, the Spares Product Manager will act as the central point of coordination for all spare parts-related topics, ensuring alignment across the organisation and supporting the long-term success of our installed base.
Responsibilities
- Drive spares as a key growth area for Gunnebo
- Define and manage the global spare parts portfolio across all Entrance Control product lines.
- Develop lifecycle strategies including obsolescence management and end-of-life planning together with other product managers.
- Establish pricing strategies and governance for spare parts.
- Define global stockholding strategy, collaborating with sales companies and supply chain to improve forecasting and inventory optimisation.
- Identify growth opportunities such as spare part kits and service offerings.
- Act as central point of contact for spares across engineering, service, and sales.
- Define and standardise processes and data structures, enforcing them with local service teams
- Drive change management across the organisation, improvements in data quality and system usage.
- Develop KPIs to monitor revenue, margin, and availability.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and develop the spares product management function.
Requirements
- Experience in product management, aftermarket, or spare parts business.
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a global organisation.
- Experience improving processes or systems is highly desirable.
- Structured and detail-oriented approach.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven with high ownership.
- Experience with ERP or product data systems is an advantage.
- Professional proficiency in English
- Willingness to travel to Gunnebo facilities around the world
