Job Title: Data Analyst / BI Developer

Location: South Africa

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)

Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / BI Developer to join an established data analytics team supporting multiple healthcare and healthcare-related companies.

The primary focus of this position will be maintaining existing reports, SQL processes, data workflows and recurring reporting tasks. The successful candidate will become an important part of the day-to-day data operations, ensuring existing processes remain accurate, reliable and efficient.

As you become familiar with the systems, datasets and business processes, there will be opportunities to take on more complex development, automation, integrations and analytical projects.

We are looking for someone who is technically capable, dependable and highly detail-oriented, with the ability to take ownership of recurring tasks while independently troubleshooting issues and gradually expanding their responsibilities.

Key ResponsibilitiesSQL & Database Support• Maintain and troubleshoot existing SQL queries, stored procedures and database processes.

  • Work with SQL Server and T-SQL to retrieve, manipulate and validate data.
  • Investigate data issues and discrepancies across systems.
  • Validate and reconcile information between different data sources.
  • Work with large healthcare, financial, accounting and operational datasets.
  • Independently investigate existing databases, queries and processes to understand how they work and identify issues.

Reporting & Business Intelligence• Build, maintain and modify reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Report Builder.

  • Maintain recurring reports and ensure they are accurate and delivered as required.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and investigate unexpected results.
  • Make report changes and updates based on business requirements.
  • Assist with developing new reports and analytical outputs as knowledge of the environment grows.

Data Processes & Automation• Handle recurring data imports, exports and routine data processes.

  • Assist with automated workflows involving SQL, Python, APIs, SFTP, CSV/Excel files and other data sources.
  • Support data integrations between internal and external systems.
  • Assist with system migrations and changes to existing data processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or automate manual workflows.
  • Document existing processes, queries, reports and workflows to support continuity and knowledge sharing.

NetSuite & Integrations• Experience with NetSuite and external NetSuite integrations is required.

  • Work with NetSuite data and processes.
  • Support existing external NetSuite integrations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining data flows between NetSuite and other systems.
  • Support changes and new integrations as required.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server / T-SQL.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, joins, stored procedures and data transformation.
  • Experience with SSRS, Microsoft Report Builder or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience with NetSuite and external NetSuite integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy.
  • Ability to independently investigate existing reports, databases and processes.
  • Comfortable working with large and complex datasets.
  • Ability to work confidently with repetitive and detail-oriented tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage recurring responsibilities reliably.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow processes through to completion.
