Seeking Expert Partner — Project Manager & Team Leader, Water Conservation & Non-Revenue Water

We're assembling a team to bid on a major water infrastructure opportunity in South Africa's municipal water sector, and we're looking for an experienced Project Manager & Team Leader to partner with us on this submission.

What we need:

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) or Chartered Civil Engineer (or equivalent international registration)
  • Minimum 15 years' post-registration experience managing and overseeing the implementation of Water Conservation & Water Demand Management (WC&WDM) or Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Performance-Based Contract projects
  • Direct experience in operations & maintenance (O&M) services for NRW-reduction — active leak detection and repair, pressure management, flow/pressure logging, bulk and reticulation water pipe work, and water meter management
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams on municipal or public-sector water infrastructure programmes, in South Africa or internationally
  • Comfortable operating across multiple project sites nationally, working alongside municipal stakeholders and a broader technical delivery team

The opportunity:

This forms part of a competitive bid response for a significant water security initiative. If our bid is successful, this role would sit within a multi-year panel appointment, with individual project contracts — once awarded — potentially running 5 to 10 years each. This is a long-term, high-impact opportunity to shape non-revenue water reduction outcomes at a national scale.

We're open to discussing how this collaboration could be structured — whether as a consulting engagement, project-based partnership, or another arrangement that works for both sides.

If this is your area of expertise and you're open to exploring a collaboration on this bid, please reach out — happy to share further detail directly.
